CCMC-SWPC Partnership
CCMC and SWPC have had a 20+ year partnership since CCMC was established.
Partnership Project Highlights
2019 - present: CCMC-SWPC Proving Ground
The CCMC-SWPC Proving Ground is the Architecture for Collaborative Evaluation (ACE). This is a shared computational environment between CCMC and SWPC to collaborate, share, and advance models along the R2O pipeline.
2022-2023: WAM-IPE validation
CCMC performed a validation study of SWPC's operational WAM-IPE runs for the period 2021-2022.
2017-2020: Validation of ADAPT-WSA-ENLIL Model Upgrades
CCMC performed validation of CME arrival time forecasts using ADAPT-WSA-ENLIL model upgrades and compared these results with NOAA's operational version of WSA-ENLIL (without ADAPT).
2013 - 2015: Geospace Model Transition to Operations
To support the transition of space weather research models to operations, the CCMC led the effort to assess the ability of geospace models to forecast geomagnetic disturbances.
2006 - 2009: Operational Potential of ENLIL
CCMC simulations and validation reports demonstrated the operational potential of the ENLIL model.
