GM model run submission page
List of exoplanet-related simulations (SWMF and other models)
In an effort to expand the range of science questions that can be probed with the models hosted at CCMC, we have now expanded the range of available dipole orientations and magnitudes in the University of Michigan’s SWMF model. These new parameter ranges allow studies of for example early Earth’s and other exoplanet targets of interest. We welcome our users to explore these new CCMC capabilities and look forward to receiving your feedback. Proceed to SWMF Exoplanetary run submission

REQUEST an GLOBAL MAGNETOSPHERE (GM) RUN

Please fill in the form below and continue with your run submission.
NASA is currently closed due to a lapse in government funding. During this time, simulation requests may be submitted and, when possible, automatically processed. Processing of certain requests will be delayed until NASA reopens.
GENERATE YOUR REQUEST

Your run results will be published online under your Run Registration Number (FirstName_LastName_MMDDYY_ModelType_RunNumber) e.g. John_Smith_032511_IM_1.

Submissions that do not provide a real name of the submitter will be automatically rejected.

**You must agree to the CCMC Data Policy in order to submit a run**

Step 2: SELECT MODEL

Choice of inner magnetosphere model (apply to any of the above SWMF/BATSRUS model versions)

Inner magnetosphere model options for OpenGGCM 5.0

(does not run together with TIEGCM ionosphere)

GAMERA magnetosphere MHD, RCM ring current and REMIX ionosphere electrodynamics solver

Caution:The MAGE precipitation model relies on data-derived models of chorus and hiss waves in the inner magnetosphere that are parameterized for Kp<5. Time periods with larger Kp will compute electron precipitation and ionospheric conductance based on the outputs of the wave model capped at Kp=5.
