Model Description

AMPS: Trajectories (position, velocity) of individual particles inserted into completed global magnetosphere simulation.

Model Input
Three-dimensional magnetosphere magnetic and electric fields from existing simulation, initial locations and velocities of particles, specified as list of individual particles or as region with particle distribution parameters (center and extent of box or radius of sphere, number of particles, bulk velocity and temperature of velocity distribution).

Model Output
Positions and velocities of list of particles over time.

Limitations and Caveats
Particles are traced in outputs provided by previously0-run simulations at a limited time resolution. Electric fields as used by the model may not be fully available and be approximated by (-VxB).
