CCMC is supporting the "Physical Processes Governing Energy and Momentum Flows on Multiple Scales in Near-Earth Space Using a First-Principles-Based Data Assimilation System for the Global Ionosphere-Thermosphere-Electrodynamics" effort within the NASA/NSF Partnership For Collaborative Space Weather Modeling.

Status of deliverables to the CCMC:

  ●  USU-GAIM3.1.1 (Global Assimilation of Ionospheric Measurements) has been installed at the CCMC, and the model accepts data from multiple sources:
      ○  GPS slant TEC
      ○  Electron density profiles from DISS ionosondes
      ○  DMSP SSIES in-situ electron densities
      ○  COSMIC TEC
  ●  HI-IDED-DA (High Latitude Ionospheric Dynamics and ElectroDynamics with Data Assimilation) code has been installed at the CCMC, and the model uses data from multiple sources:
      ○  SuperDARN Radars for both hemispheres
      ○  SuperMag global distribution of magnetometers
      ○  DMSP cross track ion velocities and particle precipitation
      ○  AMPERE
  ●  Runs on Request of the USU-GAIM3.1.1 will be available in 2018.
  ●  Runs on Request of the HI-IDED-DA will be available in 2018.

The team has been in communication with the CCMC to help with model installation.
