Sebastian's project with CCMC will focus on model validation with the combined WSA-ENLIL model. More specifically, a cone model-based halo CME representation is inserted into the combined WSA-ENLIL model. The resulting CME evolution and propagation is studied at the L1 point and compared to ACE observations. He will analyze the quality of the match between different solar wind parameters in the model and in the observations. Additionally, he will study whether there are any systematic time lags between model outputs and observations by ACE.
